Mark Lynas is apparently apologizing for helping start the anti-GMO movement in the 90’s, haven’t even finished watching it myself, but I thought it was a fascinating concept, have a look.
I found the video in this article.
We all know plastic is bad for the environment. Even though it is recyclable it is not cost-effective at all and can be quite harmful to the environment whether via trash degradation or the toxic air released from the recycling process. People have finally come up with a clever way of making a plastic that is not only biodegradable but also highly recyclable, much more so than previous, conventional forms of plastic. I haven’t got anything to add to the eloquent article linked above. You can read the article yourself, I think it elaborates on the topic much more effectively than I do.
(Now all we need to do is figure out what to do with all the plastic still floating around way out in the middle of all our oceans…)
